I do not know where to start. The problems started on the day of arrival, we had a normal double room in the house and an apartment on the lower floor, which I didn't realize was really a long way away, catastrophe with a small child and difficult to organize, I think it's great stupid. Of course there was no possibility of changing the rooms, not even for an extra charge. I think the NG is unreasonable with the back and forth who likes it. A cot was requested in good time, but it wasn't available. We then had a sofa bed for a 3 year old, who of course falls out of it. Then everything was messed up when we swapped rooms. A waiter said we wouldn't get any drinks because dinner was the same, but then we got some. Then I asked 3 waiters about my food allergy, but they probably only spoke broken German and didn't really understand, one waiter makes drinks, one clears away, one brings food, etc. In other words, you wait forever until you get something. My allergies were sometimes not taken into account, even though I announced them. Then I ordered a cocktail without cream and what was in it, cream, are you killing me? So sat in the room at midnight on New Year's Eve and took emergency medicine and the whole night was over. And so it goes on here every day. I would prefer to leave earlier. Some of the staff try very hard, but unfortunately that doesn't always help. We won't be coming back and I can't recommend it in terms of price/performance, it feels like it's made to measure. One guest said those with allergies should stay at home, then he would have more food. The guests “fight their way” at the buffet - such people are here. Disappointing for us, we don't need it!
And I don't even want to start talking about the manager, who goes on and on about how she personally treats you as a guest here! I can also threaten to file a complaint back for negligent bodily harm and incorrect allergen labeling or even missing allergen labels, even though there are EU regulations for this.
An absolute dream experience.
I am still blown away by the beautiful and pleasant stay at the Sporthotel.
Super friendly employees who do everything for the guest and with a genuine smile on their faces. Here you feel warmly cared for and welcome. Thank you!
The spa area was a great and relaxing experience for me as a “non-sauna goer” and “knocked my socks off”.
The room furnishings, location and view are a pure pleasure. People also really enjoy staying there. Waking up by a fantastic view of the Wildenkaiser is the best way to start the day.
When it comes to culinary delights, no one is left out here either. Menu selection, taste and quality exactly met my palate. - Simply TOP.
I can only say thank you very much and highly recommend it. Everyone gets their money's worth here, whether it's a short vacation or a longer one.
Many thanks to the whole team, I'll be happy to come back soon.
A fantastic hotel with an all-round empathetic team. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. Nothing is missing. The breakfast buffet is excellent, as is the dinner, which is served in buffet form, but you can also choose what you like in the morning. This hotel is an absolute recommendation!
The most beautiful hotel in Ellmau.
The breakfast was fine, everything was classic and nothing was missing. Dinner menu, the main course was nothing special, obviously there were a lot of guests but that could be done better in the price range.
Not suitable for small children, the hotel is much too big and no longer feels comfortable.
I booked a 4 for 3 offer at short notice and came to an optimal starting point for my hikes at a very fair price including half board. The welcome was relaxed, friendly and personal. I was pleasantly surprised by the room (double room Ellmau 28 m²) - you just have to find it first in the many corridors and wings of the spacious hotel. A nice mix between stylish and homely with a separate toilet. Only the minibar was empty and the small refrigerator was barely able to cool what we brought with us. The wellness area (or rather: the areas) have been really nicely done/renovated and you feel comfortable. However, I could imagine that there could be a shortage of berths when occupancy is high. The quality of the food was good to very good - depending on the offering and menu. In some cases that certain something was missing, a bit of sophistication, a few fresh herbs and spices... Another thing to mention: very well located in terms of transport, as it is on the edge of the town, free parking and good WiFi coverage.
The hotel was incredibly good to us.
Nice hotel with a great spa area. The employees are all very friendly and accommodating.
The only thing we missed was the hotel tour, the hotel is very large and a bit confusing at the beginning.
